Crosstabs - Report View Options



After running a total frequency report, the report screen gives you various viewing options you can access to the top left-hand corner of the screen:

1: Show / Hide QA Codes 

These are QA codes, shown in green , that signify a specific question type, question attribute or survey attribute. Click here for a complete list and description of each QA code. In the example below, the QA code "RAD" is shown signifying a single-select question. If "Show QA Codes" is selected in View Options, QA codes are visible in the report.

2: Show / Hide Tables with No Respondents 

In some instances, the report might have tables with no data in them. In the example below, we have the number of respondents terminated for attempting to take the survey after the quota is full. You can opt to hide these empty data tables by selecting "Hide Tables With No Respondents" within the View Options. If "Show Tables with No Respondents" is selected in View Options, these empty tables are shown:

2: View Chart Options 

Allows you to change the chart color palette. Select the "View Chart Options" option and choose your desired color palette from the chart dialog:


  • Data Values: Allows you to show "Percentages" or "Counts" as the charted value.
  • Color Palette: Allows you to select from a wide range of color palettes for your chart.

4: Show / Hide Download Data Values 

Allows you to display / hide the data values ​​in the crosstabs report. Click here for more information.

5: Show / Hide Unweighted Total Count 

Only available if weights have been added to the date.

If weights have been added to the data, this option to view the weighted data in the report.

6: Turn All Grid Tables On / Off:

Allows you to show or hide grid tables (from 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional radio / checkbox / select questions that do not use hottext).
Grid Table View appears by default to all 2-dimensional grid questions. In this example s3 is the 2-dimensional grid question. You can see our answer options sweep by our column choices:


When we turn off our grid table view, we can see each answer option as a separate summary table:

Note: This functionality applies only to the default grid tables, and not to the new custom grid tables.
